OVEN FRIED CHICKEN FOR THE CROWD

With this crowd-pleaser, you can put an end to your kids’ back-to-school melancholy. Make enough oven fried chicken for second (and third) helpings!

Oven Fried Chicken Ingredients:

1/2 cup flour (a half cup of flour goes a long way!)
1 1/2 teaspoon powdered garlic
1 tablespoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
black pepper with salt
Pieces of chicken Usually, I get:
– 6 skin-on thighs – 8 wings – 6 skin-on drumsticks
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Combine flour, 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and dry mustard in a small dish.

Rinse the chicken under cold running water, pat dry, and season with salt. Coat the chicken in the flour mixture one piece at a time. Place on a rimmed baking sheet coated with foil to make cleanup a breeze!

Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake for 50-55 minutes. Although every oven is different, these chicken pieces don’t take long to cook.

I don’t use the pan drippings to baste the chicken, as the recipe suggests. I pop it in the oven, set the timer, and prepare my salad and vegetables.

Allow the chicken to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. The foil sheet will have a lot of oil on it, but don’t worry about it. The chicken will not have an oily flavor.

Anyone who wishes to attempt this dinner, please let me know how it went out. Please go to the store and get the dry mustard. It should be kept in your pantry. This recipe for oven fried chicken will become a family favorite!
