How Does ALDI’s Low Carb Bread Taste?
The texture of this bread is similar to a slice of wholemeal bread with a large concentration of nuts and seeds throughout the slices.

The bread tastes and behaves like normal bread which is fantastic and it toasts well.
Taste Overview
Most people really love the bread, but there are a lot of people who toast it before eating it. Many people said that it freezes well, which is perfect since it can sell out quickly. People can stock up when they see it and pull slices out of the freezer when they have a bread craving.

Some people mentioned that it keeps them on track with their ketogenic diet, which in the long run, makes this bread, not a bad choice.

Many people mentioned that it is nice to have occasionally when they miss bread, especially with cream cheese, ham or even butter and vegemite.

Is ALDI High Protein Bread Keto Friendly?
As you all know, a ketogenic diet attempts to remove all grains, legumes and sugars from the body in order to maintain neutral blood glucose, which helps reduce insulin levels and helps the body become more insulin sensitive.

Taking a look at this bread, the ingredients contain a high level of grains, legumes, and most importantly, gluten.

Since gluten is a protein, it makes sense for this bread to contain more gluten than regular wheat bread.

If you are a coeliac, or even slightly gluten-sensitive, this bread is not suitable for you.

Soy is also questionable in the levels found throughout this bread. Soy can be very estrogen-mimicking, especially in its refined form.

Ingredients Overview
Even though the ingredients of wheat, gluten, soy, barley and other unfriendly substances are subpar, people who follow a less strict version of the ketogenic diet will love this bread.

Most people will find that the amount of gluten and fibre in this bread is going to cause them some serious issues, although those who are not gluten sensitive, may find it okay in small amounts.

Where can you buy this Low Carb, High Protein ALDI Bread?
Currently, I believe this bread is only sold in ALDI here in Australia. It cannot be found in stores in America (US) or the United Kingdom (UK), so unfortunately for people in those areas who are looking to buy some over the weekend, you might have to fly to Australia, have a coffee with me, and pick some ALDI bread up on the way home…. just as long as you’re not gluten-sensitive, soy sensitive or worried about your blood sugar too much.

Most people have mentioned that this bread is often sold out. If you are looking for it, be sure to grab a few loaves and keep them in the freezer.

This bread costs around $5 per loaf, and there are approximately 14 slices per loaf. The bread boasts 5 g of net carbs per serving, which is not so bad.

Aaron’s Verdict:
I have tried this bread a few times with bad experiences. The amount of gluten doesn’t sit well with me and I can easily whip up a batch of my own Keto Bread if the bread urge really strikes.
