Shrimp baked in a sweet honey sauce Lime shrimp marinade is a quick and easy seafood meal recipe that takes only 20 minutes to prepare! This tasty supper is simple to prepare, gluten-free, and paleo.

Is baked shrimp good for you?
Baking shrimp instead of deep-frying them is a far healthier option. Shrimp offers a number of health advantages, including:

Shrimp is the ideal seafood for hectic nights since it cooks so quickly. Baked shrimp, a healthy shrimp stir fry, or shrimp jambalaya with lentils are all options. It doesn’t get much more delectable than that!

Yes, you should definitely keep the shell on your shrimp! It cooks in the same amount of time as peeled shrimp, but with less effort. (SOURCE) Shrimp cooked in their shells have a plumper texture and don’t appear to go from perfectly done to overcooked as rapidly. Cooking unpeeled shrimp is the only way to properly bring out the shrimp taste, and all you have to do to reap the advantages is…nothing!

Oh, and don’t forget about the shells. Shrimp shells add a depth of flavor that’s somewhere between toasted and briny when they’re left on during the cooking process. That’s not to say I expect you to consume them.

Despite all of the advantages, it is not always practicable to boil shrimp with the shell on, which is fine. All you have to do now is keep an eye on the baked shrimp in the oven to make sure it doesn’t overcook. Rubbery shrimp is not a tasty dish.

Concerning the seafood marinade
Technically, the baked shrimp are cooked in a sauce rather than a marinade. It’s a spin on a seafood marinade I used a few years back for a Cod dish. Fortunately, it goes well with shrimp as well.

It’s also quite simple to prepare. Combine lime juice, honey for sweetness, tamari, avocado oil, salt, and pepper in a baking dish. To assist give it a burst of freshness, I like to add a tbsp of chopped cilantro. However, if cilantro isn’t your thing, feel free to leave it out. In any case, it’s delicious!

Do you have 15- 20 minutes to cook honey lime baked shrimp? That’s good, since that’s all there is to making baked shrimp.

Consider this a more flavorful version of roasted shrimp cocktail. Cleaning the shrimp and placing them in a shallow roasting pan or cookie sheet is all that is required. Drizzle the marinade over the shrimp and spread them out evenly. Toss the shrimp in a bowl to evenly coat them, then bake!

The shrimp will be done and pink after 10-12 minutes. Before serving, squeeze a little lime over the top. BAM! Dinner! And it’s delicious with sweet potato fries, carrot fries, or riced vegetables on the side.
