Description
To make this simple dish even better, luscious New York apples are added to the traditional bread pudding.

Ingredients: 2 Cortland or Idared apples from New York State, cut
2 cups of bread cubes (day old)
4 mugs of milk (scalded)
2 eggs
Sugar: 1/2 cup Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
Melted half a cup of butter or margarine
chopped walnuts, half a cup
50 g of raisins

Instructions
Cubed bread should be placed in a basin and covered with scalded milk until thoroughly moistened and slightly cooled. Eggs should only be combined. Add vanilla, salt, and sugar to the eggs. Add to the bread mixture. Stir in the melted butter.
Pour pudding into a 2-quart baking dish after greasing it. Stir in the apples, walnuts, and raisins. Set the dish in a pan with 1″ of boiling water and bake it at 350° for 60 to 75 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out relatively dry.
