INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE A TACO BOARD
Cook the protein of your choice: I used steak and chicken, but any protein would do.

The chicken had the same technique, except the marinade included fresh coriander/cilantro. The steak and chicken were then cooked till done to my liking. Allow for a 5-minute rest before slicing.

Assemble the board: Once the protein is cooked and the salsa and guacamole are prepared, it’s time to put the board together. Place the chicken, steak, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream on the largest serving board or dish you have. Toasted tortillas (I just heated them over the flame of my gas hob but they can be grilled too). Lime wedges, sliced avocado, red onion, jalapeos, and fresh coriander/cilantro are all good additions. Serve right away.

CAN I PREPARE THIS IN ADVANCE?
It’s possible to marinade the protein up to 24 hours ahead of time. Something like carnitas or shredded chicken, for example, can be prepared ahead of time. Salsas (excluding pico de gallo) can also be made ahead of time.
