LAVA CAKES WITH CHOCOLATE

 

Chocolate lava cakes are a delicious and indulgent treat that are much simpler to create at home than you may expect.

But next came lava cake. Any recipe with chocolate is my favorite. My absolute favorite decadent treat is chocolate lava cake. If it appears on the menu when we go out to dinner, I am always really eager to taste it. For my family, including desserts for two, is the ideal serving size.

A simple recipe for chocolate lava cake that serves two people!

I have to admit that I am quite happy with how this molten lava cake turned out. It only yields 2 cakes, making it ideal for Valentine’s Day, a romantic date, or any other occasion where you don’t want a lot of leftover dessert. You can make it even more luscious by adding whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top.

The fact that this dish is gluten-free is the cherry on top! Although I don’t usually bake gluten-free goods, I bought a bag of almond flour and made these without any trouble. I have used gluten-free flour to create these soft and chewy double chocolate biscuits before.

INGREDIENTS

dusting with cocoa powder

14 cup of butter

1 ounce of chopped unsweetened chocolate

3 tablespoons of sugar (erythritol sweetener to make it keto approved)

One big egg

one huge egg yolk

Vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon

1 cup of almond flour

1/8 teaspoon of salt

INSTRUCTIONS
Turn on the 375 degree oven.
Grease or butter two 4-ounce ramekins liberally. Dust with chocolate powder.
Melt the butter, chocolate, and sugar in a small sauce pan over low heat.
Whisk in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla when the heat has been turned off.
Add salt and almond flour.
Distribute equally among the ramekins. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the centre jiggles slightly when shook but the sides are firm.
After 5 minutes of cooking, remove from oven.
Onto a small platter, flip the ramekins over. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream on the side.
