Chocolate Orange Porridge

Post Christmas, everyone is always trying to get their dietary lifestyle back on the right track (myself included!!), and a Christmas favourite treat for me is a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. So in when I started to crave this chocolate goodness, I decided to try out a chocolate orange porridge to give me that Terry’s fix! This porridge will provide you with energy (from the oats), is high in omega 3 (from the flaxseed and chia seeds), high in protein and calcium (from the soya milk) and is filled with antioxidants (from the raw cacao powder and cacao nibs).

Chocolate Orange Porridge (Serves: 1. Cooking Time: 10 minutes)


– 1/2 cup rolled oats

– 1/3 cup soya milk (or milk of choice!)

– 1/2 cup water

– Zest of 1 orange

– 2 tbsp maple syrup

– 1 heaped tsp raw cacao powder

– 1 tsp flaxseed

– Suggested toppings: Orange Segments, chia seeds, leftover orange zest and cacao nibs


1) Combine oats, soya milk and water in a sauce pan and place over a medium heat. Add more or less oats/liquid depending on desired consistency!

2) Add in orange zest, maple syrup, flaxseed and raw cacao powder and stir in well.

3) Top with orange segments, chia seeds, leftover orange zest and cacao nibs pr whatever toppings you desire!
