Buttermilk Fried Chicken in the Oven

This buttermilk oven-fried chicken is just as crisp as deep-fried chicken. Cooked in barely a spoonful of oil after being double dipped!
It’s hard to imagine that only a tablespoon of oil is used in this oven fried chicken.
Preheating the baking sheet and the oil is the key to crispiness! This is a new trick I learnt lately, and I couldn’t wait to put it to the test!

Ingredients are as follows:
1 cut-up chicken
2 tablespoons garlic pepper
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons paprika 1 teaspoon sugar
1 gallon buttermilk
two eggs
1 teaspoon powdered baking soda
a quarter teaspoon of baking soda
Extra virgin olive oil!

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Combine flour, garlic powder, sugar, and paprika in a baking pan.
3. Whisk together buttermilk, eggs, baking powder, and baking soda in a medium mixing basin until smooth.

4. Shake off any extra buttermilk mixture from each piece of chicken.
5. Roll in the flour mixture, then dip in the buttermilk and flour mixture again.
6. Drizzle with olive oil and place in baking pan.
7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until golden brown.
