Why You’ll Want to Make Your Own Granola Recipe
This homemade granola is a crunchy, fruity, delicious treat. It’s made with healthy ingredients – oats, chia seeds, nuts, dried fruit, and coconut flakes. I know you’ll enjoy this granola recipe because it’s very versatile.

You can switch out the type of nuts, use different seeds, or change the type of dried fruit. The basics of good granola are oats + nuts + oil + sweetener + spice + dried fruit.

Getting the right balance on these is important, because you don’t want it too sticky, but you do want chunks to form and stick together after baking.

How to Make Your Own Granola

Add the coconut oil, honey, and sea salt. With your hands, crumble the ingredients together.
Spread across a cookie sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until oats are golden brown. Check the oat mixture regularly to make sure it’s not burning.
Let cool completely and add the dried berries and coconut. Stir gently to combine so you don’t break up the chunky granola pieces.

Tips for Making this Recipe
Feel free to substitute if you don’t like one of the ingredients I’ve included. You can use different types of nuts, seeds, or dried fruit, but keep the same amount of each so you have the optional moisture to dry ingredients ratio.

Make sure to check the granola a few times while it bakes – don’t let it burn!
